Creating Trust

If you want to have a good friendship with your dog, it is essential to build trust between yourself and the dog. You want to begin by providing all the basics for a healthy dog, like food and shelter, good excercise and fun time, and also love and encouragement (also known as love). This will totally let your dog know to trust you. Because he won’t be worried about if he’s going to be yelled at or be uncomfortable around you, he’ll do the rest!

This new training endeavor can prove to be a LOT of fun. It’s an awesome way to get out into the world with a fun companion and build the bond. This can really deepen the trust your dog has for you.

Send Dog Good Vibes

What you want is your dog to behave well so as to attract only praise. Of all the possible dog training tips, this might be one to write down and think about because it is so foundational. As an example, your dog will respond SO much better to you if you are persistently providing her with positive reenforcement of good behavior instead of constantly yelling at her when she resorts to bad doggy behavior.

Besides, you want your little dog to be nice around other dogs, children, and adults; to be capable of off leash walking; and to sit, stay, heal on command among other things. For that to happen, it begins with you and how well you decide to love your dog. An environment where your dog is not positively engaged and respected will be threatening and will lead to ALL the behaviors that people are constantly searching answers for like chewing, barking, jumping, being aggressive, biting and so forth.

Dog training tips that are of any value will confirm it all; that it is important to create a positive, constructive environment for dog rearing – they need this as much as we do. And hey, a well-mannered dog is such a pleasure to be around when at home or at the park.

Correct Response

Important: good doggy conduct requires the dog obey immediately, correctly, and consistently!

When your dog shows good behavior, you gotta let him know right away that you like it and give him ample love and affection for doing such a good job. This is how he learns as opposed to the emotional trauma of being scolded for things he did wrong! Responding very quickly to your dogs successes will lead to increased confidence and more good behavior. And that’s what we all want! Right?

Dog Whispering

Dog training secrets of value demand that you position yourself as pack leader or head honcho. So, you must assert your dominence. Your dog will respect you for it. He will feel safer if he knows his place. This is dog psychology 101. As a dog whisperer, Cesar Millan teaches this. Feel free to consider 4 online dog training courses, check this out. We gotta remember that dogs are another species with a whole other set of social rules they follow and we have to learn these rules like Cesar Millan. We can surely have fun learning the alpha dog role as long as we are still compassionate and caring toward our dog. And when your dog sees you as big boss, she will respond VERY positively to you and your commands.

Don’t Complicate Things

Please don’t confuse your dog by shouting out too many commands at once. Focus giving ONLY one command at a time, otherwise you will simply confuse the heck out of your dog.

So, it’s crucial to learn that understanding about our dogs and where they are coming from so we can best serve them in their training. To further the discovery process and uncover more Great dog training techniques, check out these great dog obedience tips.

All the best!

Understand why does your dog bark and how to stop your dog from barking excessively!

A dog that is constantly barking can become irritating to the quietude and peace around the neighborhood.

But Why Does Your Dog Bark?

While it’s not exactly rocket science, your dog’s barking is its way of communication to the world; it can also mean several other things such as:

It is trying to get your attention due to dog separation anxiety, boredom or loneliness.

It may feel threatened or senses non-pack members intruding into its territory.

It is trying to alert you and members of his pack of any potential threat or impending danger.

Ways And How To Stop Your Dog From Barking

Negative Association – This is also commonly known as the squirt gun method. Together with the command "No", call out the command and spray your dog with water when you catch him barking excessively. Consistent use of this method will cause your dog to associate barking as an unpleasant experience as most dogs do not like to get wet.

Training Collars – Anti-dog barking collars can be very helpful if you need to leave your dog alone while you are away at work. Some of these training collars release a harmless, nontoxic smell or a mild shock that your dog does not encounter on a regular basis. As a result, your dog will become distracted and cease barking.

Additional Useful Dog Training Tips You Should Know And Apply

Make sure that you dissuade your dog from barking immediately. Do not wait to correct your dog after five minutes of barking, your dog will not understand the reason for the discipline. This can or will lead to undesirable side effects, such as your loving dog becoming fearful, shy, and even afraid of you.

After your dog has stopped barking, reward him or her with your dog favorite toy or treat. This way, your dog will equate quietness with yummy treats and will therefore learn to stop barking so much.

If your dog continues to barks excessively even after positive reinforcement training and corrections, it may be a symptom of a larger problem. Your dog might be suffering from a mental or physical issue. Visit your local vet to have the problem assessed. Any health issues must be addressed first before any training can continue.

Finally, without a constantly barking dog, you will find your relationship with your dog grow more lovingly and affectionate. Therefore, instead of formulating a negative relationship with your canine, take proactive measures today and start training your dog not to bark!

Don’t get too excited with Fido as soon as you get home from the pet store it’s best to save the neat dog tricks until after you complete a little basic dog obedience training.Starting to teach the dog to obey with basic commands such as ‘sit’, ‘stay’ and ‘heel’ is akin to how one expects a child to learn words before phrases and sentences.Expecting only the basics at the beginning causes the dog to respond to communication in general and to respond to your commands as his master.Relatively quickly your dog will obey your basic commands through instinct.

When first training your dog, don’t expect that he is as skilled in obeying commands as a student studying for a Masters Degree. You will become your puppy’s best friend and his master rather than the nasty professor at the head of the class. Use lots of love and rewards when your dog completes some obedience training. If you only use fear to teach your dog, he will be frightened to perform and may perform his tricks worse due to “stage-fright”.

The reward method is widely used as well as the leash and collar training methods. Rewarding the dog with treats and food is generally a more relaxed approach although not necessarily the best. They may grow to expect the chewy bone after every single ‘roll over’ trick or simple ‘sit’ command.

Some feel the military means is more effective than the gentle method of offering a treat for a reward. Therefore, the leash method, which underlines that the dog is subject to a human master, is considered to be more effective than the reward method, as it is believed to have the dog obey the master at all times without protest, in contrast to the reward method

However, don’t let the leash do all the work.Keep in mind that the ultimate goal of training is to have the dog always obey with or without punishment or reward. When this goal is achieved, the dog will truly be subject to you in a positive relationship and you will have an excellently behaved dog.

Whatever method you choose, dog obedience training ensures the dog executes your commands positively rather than running rampant with no routine training. To your benefit, dog obedience training results in an obedient dog who can be your best friend, and who can entertain your friends with tricks.

The German Shepherd Dog also called the Alsatian comes literally from the German Deutscher Schäferhund. The Alsatian is a relatively new breed of large-sized dog that dates from the late 19th century. They are part of the Herding group that was originally developed as a working dog for herding sheep.

Often employed by the military and police for their obedience and intelligence. They are nearly always one of the top three global breeds.
The original dog was named Hektor Linksrhein. Hecktor so impressed Von Stephanitz that he purchased it and changed the dogs name to Horand von Grafrath and founded the Society for the Alsatian Dogs.
Horand became the hub of the society’s breeding programs and was mated with many other society member dogs.
The German Shepherds popularity has grown rapidly throughout the 20th Century, though it had some problems in popularity in the early days due to health problems from poor breeding and after the world wars with anti German sentiment. To such an extent that the UK Kennel Club renamed it to “Alsatian Wolf Dog”, eventually the wolf dog addition was removed and in 1977, the German Shepherd Dog was back as the official name, though it is still often known as the Alsatian. The German Shepherd popularity was fuelled by animal actors such as Rin Tin Tin and Strongheart. Now it is globally the third most popular dog breed.

They are a large dog of between 55 and 65 centimetres (around 24 inches) at the withers and weigh between 22 and 40 kilograms ( 49 and 88 lb).

The German Shepherd’s face has a long square cut muzzle, a doomed forehead, a long neck, powerful jaws, big erect ears (that are often pulled back when on the move), black nose and brown, medium-sized eyes. With a bushy tail.

Alsatians come in a variety of colours, the most common being the red/black and tan/black types with black masks and saddles. Less common variations include the sable, all-black, all-white, liver and blue types, which may not fit country breed standards. Alsatians have a double coat. A thick close dense outer coat, which is shed continually and a thick undercoat. The long-hair variety is rarer.
The Alsatian, like many working dogs is very intelligent, and are ranked as the third most intelligent breed of dog by Stanley Coren in his reference study and book “The Intelligence of Dogs”. This attribute combined with their strength makes the Alsatian sought after as guard, police, search and rescue dogs, the Alsatian rapid learning ability and ability to interpret instructions are better than other large breeds.
Alsatians have a reputation for aggression and have been banned in areas as a result. Statistically, in the United States, the Alsatian is responsible for more random bites than any other breed, and have a known tendency to attack smaller breeds of dogs.

Additionally research has shown that Alsatians are the breed third most likely to attack someone and in a different study, German Shepherds were responsible for nearly half of the dog bites that needed medical attention, compared to a more typical twenty of bites requiring medical attention, not surprising with their powerful jaws and sharp canine teeth.

There is no problem with the German Shepherd breed, it is the fault of the owners. As with all bright active dog (or person), if they are not regularly active and kept busy, they can become troublesome. The Alsatian must have puppy socialisation and good education from an early stage. Unlike the collie, which a lot of its aggressiveness has been breed out from show strains, the German Shepherd does not seem to have lost this character.

They can bond very well with their family, however they can become over-protective of their family and territory. This can give them an aloof personality.

Alsatians are rapid learners and are highly obedient and not easily distracted, but due to their strong character, you must be very firm with them.
The German Shepherd will need to have two good walks a day. They are not a dog for a busy family who cannot give them the time and attention. For this reason, busy families often ask dog walkers to help out by walking them for several hours a day.
Poor breeding has led to common genetic health problems, hip and elbow joint problems (dysplasia) which often causes the dog pain and may cause arthritis. The Alsatian also suffers from monorchidism (one testicle), weakness of temperament, and missing teeth, as well as folded or bent ears which never fully turn up when reaching adulthood. The German Shepherd is often has ear problems due to his large and open ears.

German Shepherds, like many deep bodied dogs are prone to bloat, this is a very dangerous and often rapidly fatal problem, so if you think this may be a problem, go straight to the veterinary. This is a gas build up in the stomach, caused by a number of different causes. The symptoms of distress for no apparent reason, a firm distension of the abdomen, general weakness, depression, problems breathing, hypersalivation, and retching without vomiting. A large percentage of dogs with bloat have cardiac arrhythmias (around forty percent), loss of appetite, vomiting and weight loss.

The German Shepherd often suffers from Degenerative Myelopathy, or DM is a neurological disease and are predisposed to Von Willebrand Disease, a common generic bleeding disorder, which shows in differing degrees of bleeding tendency, usually in the form of easy bruising, nosebleeds and bleeding gums. .

In spite of these problems, the German Shepherd is robust with simple dog care and the average lifespan of a Alsatian is seven to ten years, which is normal for a dog of this size.

The Alsatian has a great nose so is one of the most widely-used breeds in a many roles requiring this ability, including cadaver searching, search and rescue, explosives detection, narcotics detection and mine detection.

So the German Shepherd is a wonderful clever breed that will love you, if you have the time and dedication for him. Not advised for busy working families.

Want to adopt a cute little puppy? A yellow lab puppy could be your best option. With their soulful eyes looking straight at you, you are sure to fall in love with it the moment you see them. It does not matter if you buy the yellow lab puppy from a pet store or a home breeder as long as you know what the yellow lab puppy will be like once it matures.
Mustang windscreen windblocker wind deflector windstop

It’s true that there can be instances where the yellow lab puppy could have come from a pet mill. Once you are sure that is has been treated well and has not come from such a place, you could do a bit of research on its breed.
BMW Z4 windscreen windblocker wind deflector windstop

The yellow lab puppy will usually have a lifespan of around 12 to 14 years. Some lucky ones can even go up to 19. Getting a dog means that you are required to give it a lifetime commitment. Dogs are man’s best friend. Therefore, you need to take good care of it.
Chrysler Crossfire windscreen windblocker wind deflector windstop

Overall you will find that a yellow lab puppy can turn out to be very happy dogs if they are looked after well by their owners. They can adjust well to new surroundings and are very much playful with both children and adults. When the yellow lap puppy matures into a fully grown dog, they may need a lot of space to live and run around as they are quite big in size.

If you already have several pets in your household, bringing in a new pet could make you have doubts. The best thing about the yellow lab puppy is that they can be trained to get along with other pets in a peaceful manner. Since they are adjustable to such situations, it could be easier on the owner.

If you are an owner of a yellow lab puppy, you’d notice how intelligent they are. Did you know that yellow lab dogs were used to take care of disabled people? Because of their high intelligence level, many institutions today use them for this purpose.

Exercise should become a part of their daily routine. Being overfed and not getting enough exercise can result in the yellow lab puppy getting sick easily.

America’s sweetheart dogs for many years now have been the yorkies and bichons. It is as if they are the cutest things on earth, which many young women and children prefer to have them as the number one choice as a pet.
Mustang windscreen windblocker wind deflector windstop

However this sort of a yorkie bichon mix will have its own drawbacks just as any other mix would. It is unpredictable to figure out the outcome of a yorkie bichon mix. One thing for sure is that cross breeding these dogs could back fire you at times if the ancestors of the dogs have been mixed before. This could lead to a poorer outcome.
BMW Z4 windscreen windblocker wind deflector windstop

With the history of yorkie bichon mix the outcome is believed to have a better chance of being the cutest thing you have ever seen. The chances for a huge failure are almost zero, but there have been cases of such failure. Even the experts on the field will not be able to predict the offspring of a yorkie father and a bichon mother, or for that matter the vice versa.
In many yorkie bichon mixes the crop is more than likely to have 50-50 ingredients from both the breeds, provided that both the yorkie and the bichon are from an original breed.
Chrysler Crossfire windscreen windblocker wind deflector windstop

The behavioral and the characteristics of the outcome regardless of the looks of such yorkie bichon mix would be fairly heartening. Even though the mannerisms are more on to the yorkies side the mix will mostly have a faithful and a loyal heart.

Yorkie Bichon mix is supposedly more modernized than their father or mother. They tend to develop a rich and smooth hair unlike their parents. The size is more likely to be as same as their parents where they’d weigh up to around 10-15 pounds.
They are as playful as any yorkie or and bichon would be, and they are even more active. But this does not mean that they need any excessive exercising like. Their lower built will make sure that only a little amount of bodily functions will provide them with the daily stretching they need. They are easy to carry with whenever there’s a family trip and they are easy to handle at home.

Search online to find the nearest place where you could get the most adorable yorkie bichon puppy and let them cheer you up for the whole day at home. One thing for sure is that your yorkie bichon mix will be more than your best friend.

Sadly some unfortunate dogs have developed unhealthy levels of fear. The fear that they are feeling is so strong, that they may actually respond to their fear with aggressive behavior. Some for of trauma that he has gone through previously has resulted in his fearful disposition. Many dogs are fearful of very loud noises, such as gunshots, fireworks or even thunder.

A dog suffering from fear aggression shows a very distinct body language. It is very likely that you have seen this type of aggression before-it is not a pretty picture. Obvious signs shown by a dog suffering from fear aggression include a slinking and cringing body posture, that is quite distinct from a merely submissive type of body language. Fear aggression is further shown by a dog tucking his tail between his legs and against his stomach, while at the same time baring his teeth and both whining and growling. All it takes is one look at a fearful dog and you know it is really suffering.

Do not try to pet or comfort a dog that is displaying fear aggression. The danger is that these dogs sometimes lunge out and bite at whatever is closest to them-whether it is the object of their torment or whoever is close by. This is an example of misdirected aggression and you want to be sure it is not misdirected towards you.

In order to correct the fear aggression problem, it will mean first diagnosing the actual reason behind the fear itself. What caused this dog to have such a pronounced problem? If you have raised the dog yourself, of course you will have insight as to when and why your dog became traumatized. If you got your dog from someone else it may have already suffered abuse from a person or a dog when it was a puppy. You can figure out the cause of his fear by paying attention to when it first begins-note whether it is triggered by another dog or person or a loud noise. If your dog begins to act very fearful and becomes aggressive at the approach or another dog or a particular person, you can start to get a pretty clear idea of what is going on inside his poor head. It is pretty easy to diagnose many cases of fear aggression (especially if it is due to something obvious like gunfire or fireworks exploding). There are time when the root of your dog’s fears are not easy to figure out, and may even be due to some sort of mental issues your pet is suffering from.

Professional veterinarian dog behaviorists can help you diagnose the problem if it proves elusive for you. Remember, in order to correct the fear aggresion problem, you need to figure out what originally brought it about.

After establishing the reason for your dog’s fear, you can correct the problem through a gradual program of desensitizing your dog to the cause of his fear. For a dog that is frightened when around other dogs, you can start his training by exposing your dog to other, friendly dogs in frequent short sessions until he finds he can relax around other dogs without being attacked. You should have him on his leash so he can’t run away or make a lunge at the other dog. It might even be a good idea to use a muzzle when you are first working with a dog to correct his fear aggression to prevent the possibility of getting bit yourself during a misdirected biting lunge.

Remember to use only positive methods when training your fearful dog. Any negative conditioning will just serve to maintain his fearful state. The problem of fear aggression must be corrected through patience and understanding of what your dog is going through. The problem of fear aggression is curable, but you will have to make sure to take the effort and the time needed to remove the trauma’s effects from your dog’s psyche. You will consider your time and efforts well spent if you can correct your poor dog’s fear aggression and turn him into a happy and confident dog.

I hope this article helps you understand your dog’s fear aggression, and given you a good way to correct his problem.

A Teacup Chihuahua is the smallest and one of the most popular dog breeds in the United States of America. Although it is loved by a majority of households, it’s sad to note that the Teacup Chihuahua is not a recognized breed by major kennel associations such as AKC and CKC. This is because they are not known to be an official breed of the all famous Chihuahua breed of dogs.
Mustang windscreen windblocker wind deflector windstop

Nevertheless, majority of people have adopted the Teacup Chihuahua as a pet for their homes. Even though the Teacup Chihuahua is a very much lively dog and is great to have as a pet, they are small in size and hence have a higher fragility level compared to other dogs. For this reason, the Teacup Chihuahua needs special attention by the owner, more than other dogs.
BMW Z4 windscreen windblocker wind deflector windstop

If you want to adopt a Teacup Chihuahua, there are certain things to be considered before getting one. Leading a busy life and being unable to commit yourself to looking after a Teacup Chihuahua would result in misery for both you and the dog. Therefore following a few key points would help you get started in selecting the dog you need.
Chrysler Crossfire windscreen windblocker wind deflector windstop

Like every other dog, the Teacup Chihuahua expects a lot of love and need to socialize with their owners. Happy is the Teacup Chihuahua who gets a lot of attention from family members. Some dogs tend to lack self-discipline and can’t be trained when they don’t socialize with other people. This situation can be eliminated if you socialize with your teacup Chihuahua.

Do you have kids in your home? If so, do not get a teacup Chihuahua. Being small in size makes them more vulnerable to injuries. Having kids around would mean the teacup Chihuahua has a higher probability of being trampled or squashed.

A teacup Chihuahua can suffer from various health conditions such as high blood sugar, thyroid and liver problems, etc.

Keeping a clean home is important if you have a teacup Chihuahua around. If there are cleaning agents and other chemicals lying around, a teacup Chihuahua could lick it off and then end up getting sick.

Of the various types of aggression issue dogs may have, aggression towards people tops the list as the worst of these issues. If a dog is already displaying aggression towards people, it could easily become a biter and cause serious injuries to a visitor to your home or even a family member.

If your dog is showing any signs of aggression towards people, you need to stop that problem behavior before it does become more serious. Dogs usually have a reason that has caused they to become aggressive . When it is a case of a dog that is displaying aggression towards people, the reason is often due to previous physical abuse by its master or someone with access to the dog.

If you know what to look for, the signs of aggression towards people are easy to spot. The dog will be snarling or growling while displaying his teeth. Often a dog feeling aggressive will be barking, snapping his teeth, and have all the hair on its back raised up. Sometimes, strong aggression towards people will lead to a biting episode unless the stimulus is removed or the dog is corrected.

The dog has probably reached this level of aggression towards people over a long period of time-due to some kind of negative conditioning. Your dog’s aggression towards people can be reconditioned by using only positive conditioning to reverse his problem and create a bond of trust and confidence between you and your dog.

Before you even begin your aggression training with your dog, make sure he cannot run loose. To be sure that your aggressive dog has no chance to attack any passersby, keep him in an enclosed yard or on a lead.

You can use this training technique to gradually correct your dog’s aggression problem towards people. Start by taking your dog with you to visit a friend of your-someone who likes dogs is a good idea, so they won’t be acting timid. I recommend that you have the meeting away from your dog’s own territory-this should at least remove his instinctual territorial aggression urges to protect his turf. You should already have put your dog’s leash on before you start the training. The leash gives you the control you will need in case your dog decides to lunge at your friend. If your dog tries to get at your friend, put him straight back into his sit position with a correction and a firm “no”. However, do not yell at your dog or punish him for this aggression. Doing that will only negatively impact your training efforts, by keeping your dog tense.

You do not want to pet or praise him till he is sitting in a calm and relaxed way. Once he does so, you can then praise him and give him a treat for being a good boy. By only praising and rewarding the behaviors you want, you are using positive reinforcement to get the responses form your dog that you want to see. Each time your dog shows some aggression, just repeat this step-over and over, be patient. Through the positive reinforcement your dog not gets, his aggression towards people will eventually be desensitized through repeated exposures to them.

You will want to practice stopping your dog’s aggression towards people often to really establish your dog’s new found ability to be relaxed around other people. The next step would be to introduce your dog to new people-eventually he should meet new people without first going through an aggressive period.

In the early days of his training just have him meet 1 new person at a time. too many people could make it difficult for your dog to relax. However, after he has met and become comfortable around a variety of individual people you should gradually increase the amount of people he is exposed to in social situations. Of course, you want him to be comfortable around groups of people in every social situation, so he can be part of the family.

These simple steps should help you correct your dog’s aggression towards people, and teach him that he can relax around your friends and family. If you have successfully corrected his aggression problems towards people, you will finally have a dog that is safe and fun for your family and friends to be around. Now that your dog has mellowed out, you can even take him out in public for a good time without traumatizing him and him traumatizing the people he encounters.

Many have come to think that housetraining a puppy is essentially bringing around a stack of old newspapers. But contrary to such a limited view, what is also known as housebreaking calls for tons of patience, vigilance, and loyalty likewise to your dog. By following the procedures outlined below, you can minimize house soiling incidents, but virtually every puppy will have an accident in the house, and more likely, several. But this is hardly a surprise since it is all part of raising a puppy. In the meantime, the puppy will rely on you to be consistent in implementing basic housetraining procedures that teaches acceptable behavior. Smaller breeds take time to learn, but be assured of the benefits of the training.

Establish A Routine

1) First of all, a regular schedule works wonders in dog house training. As a consequence, you will need to take your puppy outside often, such as every two hours, aside from appointments like when he wakes up after a nap, after playing, eating and drinking.

2) Train the puppy to make use of a bathroom spot instead of soiling the house. Designate a spot near the door as the dog’s bathroom spot, and always take your puppy to that spot using a leash. Then take some soiled rag or paper towel from a recent accident, and bring some material containing the scent to the bathroom spot. The next time your puppy looks for a place to eliminate in, he will often have recourse to this prearranged spot.

3) Heap praise on your puppy whenever he eliminates outdoors. Other dog experts talk of acting like you won the lottery, so that it is impressed on the dog that he did well. A treat is also good. It is important that the rewarding of the dog be done in the instant that the dog is done eliminating, and not only when he is back inside the house. Doing so will help the dog to understand that he needs to eliminate at that spot regularly in order to please you or to get a reward from you.

4) Feed the dog on a regular schedule as best as you can. By feeding your puppy on the same consistent times each day, you make it more possible that they eliminate at the same times as well. This tip is a big boost to your housebreaking.

Whatever your housetraining preparations, brace yourself for the odd occasion that the dog commits an error in the house. But stay calm, since accidents beyond your utmost efforts are part of housetraining.

1) When you see the puppy about to eliminate outside the bathroom spot, interrupt the act by making a startling noise (which however must not frighten the dog). Then bring the dog to his bathroom spot. Take time to praise him and give him a reward in case he fully eliminates there.

2) Don’t blow your top in case the puppy eliminates in the house. Moreover, If you find a soiled area with the dog nowhere to be found, there is no way that a correction or a short but loud rant can help. The best thing to do with regard to the dog is to leave it alone, since the point is that animals can’t comprehend punishment after the fact, even if it happens seconds after. It is in this instant that punishment actually harms, instead of being good.

3) Lastly, cleaning the soild area will motivate the dog to stick to the agreed-upon bathroom spot, since he will actually want to eliminate in any spot that bears the scent of his feces or pee.

Using the supervision and confinement steps of these housebreaking tips explained above will help to bring down the dog’s accidents and errors. However, if the puppy is allowed to eliminate just about anywhere in the house, he’ll get his housetraining mixed up!
