…along with a healthy diet. I’m struggling to find good, quality, mostly natural dry dog food for my Doberman. He’s been on Natural Balance and I’m very unhappy with it. It’s caused my 4 month old Doberman to be extremely runny and he only poops out diarrhea. He also has a strong, bad smell of constant gas. I’ve been recommended Canidae, Wellness, Wellness Core, and Blue Buffalo. I am planning on Wilderness once he is an adult. For now I am worried and want the best for my beautiful Doberman. I have stopped giving him treats, pig ears, etc. I’ve searcheed online and went onto Dog Food Analysis but no solid luck. My vet did not help much as well. Please help!

For dry dog kibble, my favorite has been Taste Of The Wild:

I like the “Pacific Stream” bag (the blue one) but there are other kinds as well.
The best part of this kibble is you can feed it from puppyhood into adulthood, no need to change around as the puppy gets older.
HMMMM
PEDIGREE IS GOOD…
but dont always give them dry food….
you should cook for them at times or else hes gonna get bored… imagine you.. i bet you wouldnt like to eat the same food always…
chunks of meat sometimes well cooked with rice and grave.. my dogs love it!!! yummmmyyy
Get a fecal test to make sure he doesn’t have worms. I actually have the same problem except it wasn’t the food, I found out it was worms.
All the foods you mention are excellent but costly, I was going to try Iams(original food) with some home made meals. I hear it is cheaper but I have yet to find out. There even selling a homade diet book for dogs in walmart.
blue buffalo
I have researched this in depth since my poor dog died of kidney failure due to poor quality dog food!!
Fromm Dog Food is Great for dogs and cats …http://www.frommfamily.com/ $42- $45 per 30 lb bag
NO fillers….some good quality grains….NO corn….gluten or by-products or wheat
ALL human grade food….fruits…veggies and probiotics!!
check it out you wont regret it !
http://www.tasteofthewildpetfood.com/TOTW has a high protein content (not recommeded for non athletic dogs)
Taste of the Wild contains Ethoxyquin which is a toxic fish preservative. (TOTW says that the cooking process kills all of it but it scared me away from their product)
around $42 for a 30 lb bag …. its the cheapest 6 star food ..
http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/ lots of great dog food choices on this site !!
Orijen is great but it is $60 – $80 for a 30 lb bag…high protein as well ..not good for non athletic dogs
Fromm Is what my puppy gets it has a lower protein % and great ingredients! 5 outta 6 stars due to lower protein (but most dogs should not have high protein levels …. It makes their kidneys work overtime for no reason)
You can get it online and if you go to the website you can find stores near you .. they wont be at walmarts and the like… they are in feed stores .. Agway..tractor supply stores etc
my last litter I weaned onto Wellness Large Breed Puppy, I was very happy with the results. I’ve also used Wysong with good results.
look at raw food for treats, my gang like baby carrots and apple slices.
